Add-on Installation

Installing add-ons is fairly straightforward. You can use the WordPress Dashboard or FTP.

Using the WordPress Dashboard #

This is probably the easiest way to install the plugin.

  1. Download the add-on from your Your Account.
  2. Navigate to the site where you’d like to install it and log in to the WordPress Dashboard.
  3. Go to the Plugins page and click on the “Add New” button.
  4. Select the “Upload” tab just underneath the page title.
  5. Click on the “Choose File” button and navigate to where you downloaded the add-on on your computer.
  6. Click “Install Now” to install the add-on.
  7. After it’s installed, click the option to activate the plugin.

Using FTP #

If you’re more comfortable using FTP, then this is the way to go.

  1. Download the add-on from your Your Account.
  2. Extract the file to your computer.
  3. Open your favorite FTP client and connect to your site.
  4. Upload the add-on directory to the wp-content/plugins directory on the remote server.
  5. Navigate to the site where you’d like to install it and log in to the WordPress Dashboard.
  6. Go to the Plugins page and click the “Activate” link next to the add-on.
